      Funeral Services for Life Resident of City Will Be Held Monday Afternoon

      Charles Emerson, 43, cook at Reilly's café, died at Mercy hospital at 8 o'clock last night. He underwent an operation a week ago.

      Mr. Emerson was born in Burlington, May 8, 1888, and lived in this city all his life. He was unmarried. He if survived by his mother, Mrs. Jeanetta Emerson of Burlington, and three brothers, Ray of Buffalo, New York, Walter of Curryville, Texas, and Horace of Burlington. One brother preceded him in death.

      Funeral services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
