Miss Pauline Swanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Swanson, Biggsville, became the bride of Oscar Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Davis, of Aledo, in a 2:30 p.m. ceremony Sunday in the Biggsville Methodist church. The double ring service was read by the Reverend P.L. Powell, of Biggsville, before a setting of gladioli and chrysanthemums and lighted tapers.

Miss Rosalie Maffitt, Biggsville, played the nuptial music, and accompanied Donald Gibb, Biggsville, who sang "Because" and "Always." The bride's attendants were her sisters, Mrs. Harold Icenogle, Galesburg, matron of honor, and Mrs. Ivan Jacobs, Biggsville, as bridesmaid, also Miss LaVesta Davis, Aledo, the bridegroom's sister, who was a bridesmaid. Ivan Jacobs, Biggsville, and Harold Icenogle, Galesburg, ushered.

A gown of white net over satin was worn by the bride. It was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline. Her fingertip veil was held by a tiara of white net, and she carried a corsage of white roses upon a white Bible, the bridegroom's gift. Mrs. Icenogle wore a gown of blue marquisette, styled with sweetheart neckline and a full skirt. Her shoulder-length veil was of blue net. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink flowers. The bridesmaids' gowns were of pink marquisette designed like the matron of honor's. Their bandeaux were pink net, and their flower, blue colonial bouquets. The ringbearer and flower girl were also dressed in blue, and wore matching bandeaux.

A fuchsia dress was worn by the bride's mother, with black accessories. The bridegroom's mother was attired in black with accessories to match. Each wore a corsage of white carnations.
