    • Wapello (IA) -- Samuel David Dotson, 84, Wapello, died Thursday, January 18, in the Veterans hospital, Iowa City.

      The son of George and Mary Moyers Dotson, he was born December 29, 1894, at Newport. He married Evelyn Green May 10, 1921, in Burlington.

      An Army veteran of World War I, he retired from farming and moved to Wapello in 1963.

      Surviving: The wife; son, Lloyd, Geneseo, Illinois; two sisters, Velda Mullins, Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Iva Dotson, Burlington; and one grandson.

      Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dudgeon-McCulley funeral home, Gaylen Vanloon and Daniel Sherik; Wapello cemetery. A memorial has been established.
