    • Hobert Blake

      Hobert Blake, 99, of Burnsville, West Virginia, died Monday, January 8, 2001, at the home of his daughter in Buckhannon. He was born July 18, 1901, at Bragg Run in Braxton County, a son of the late John Jackson Blake and Biddie Jane Bragg Blake. He was a retired coal miner and attend the Little Kanawha Independent Church near Burnsville.

      He is survived by his wife, Bulah Riffle Blake; daughters, Marjorie and husband Ronnie Bleigh of Hubbard, Ohio, Ulah and husband Zane Frame of Buckhannon, West Virginia; sons, Harvey and wife Verdeal Blake, Earl Blake and wife Cindy Blake both of Akron, Ohio, Carly Ray and wife Esther Blake of Burnsville, West Virginia; sisters, Bertha Fink of Akron, Ohio, and Lula Dean of Zanesville, Ohio; brother, Henry Blake of Alabama; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, 6 brothers, and six sisters.

      Funeral services were held on Friday, January 12, 2001, at the Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home at Flatwoods, West Virginia. Burial followed in the Cutlipsville Cemetery at Cutlipsville, West Virginia.
