      In the matter of David J. Lakin, bankrupt, No. 9126, in bankruptcy.

      To the creditors of David J. Lakin, of Nameoki, in the County of Madison, and district aforesaid, a bankrupt.

      Notice is hereby given that on the 15th day of January A.D. 1937, the said David J. Lakin was duly adjudicated bankrupt; and that the first meeting of his creditors will be held at the county court room, court house in the City of Edwardsville, County of Madison, Illinois, on the 4th day of February, A.     • Horse Bites Two Near Mt. Olive

      A Mount Olive, Illinois, farmer and his 18 year old son each suffered a horse's bite on the arm Monday. They were trying to bridle the animal. Both were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis in serious condition.

      David Lakin, 61, and his son, Barry, were bitten on the father's farm about 4:30 p.m. Police said the horse first attacked the son, who suffered a severed artery.

      They were first taken to St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, and transferred to St. Louis after the treatment.
