    • Ft. Madison (IA) -- Mrs. Mary Ann Rhoer, 71, 2015 Aveue D., died Saturday at 1:15 a.m. at University hospital, Iowa City. She had been ill four months.

      She was born September 15, 1893, in Lee county, the daughter of John and Hattie Marsh Wood. She was a member of the Army Mothers, Navy Mothers and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of the Santa Fe Methodist church.

      Survivors include four sons, Clyde of Denmark, Robert in the Navy in Tokyo, William of Crane, Texas, and John at home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Zurmuehlen of Burlington, and Mrs. Wayne Helmick of Denmark; one brother, Samuel Wood of Oelwein; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Farmer, Mrs. Arthur Morrett, Mrs. Dorothy Morrison and Mrs. Walter Watson all of Ft. Madison; 24 grandchildren. Two daughters, two brothers and two sisters are dead.

      Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Reverend Fred Rowley oficiating. Burial will be in Oakand cemetery. The body is at Barr Memorial Chapel.
