    • Morning Sun (IA) -- Last rites for 75-year-old Frank Hamilton will be held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Friday, Reverend J. Milton Kinney will officiate, and burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.

      A retired farmer, Hamilton was a life resident of Louisa county. He died at his home February 15, having suffered a paralytic stroke a week previously. He was the son of Alexander and Susannah Dotson Hamilton, and was born March 23, 1874.

      Hamilton was married to Cora Moyers on December 14, 1899. In 1946 they retired from the farm and moved into Morning Sun, where Mrs. Hamilton died on October 12, 1948.

      Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Eubanks; 2 granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

      Also surviving are 3 brothers and 2 sisters: George Hamilton, Chicago, and William and Geda Hamilton, Mrs. William Syphrit and Mrs. Elmer Calmbell (sic), all of Wapello. Two brothers and a sister are dead.

    • Frank Hamilton Dies after Stroke

      A stroke suffered a week ago proved fatal to Frank Hamilton, lifelong Louisa county resident, who died at his home at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Hamilton would have been 76 years old March 23. He survived a little more than a year after his wife, whose death occurred quite suddenly in October 1948.

      Frank Upton Hamilton was the son of Alexander and Susannah Dotson Hamilton and was born in Louisa county on March 23, 1874. On December 14, 1899, he married Cora Moyers. Mr. Hamilton is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Eubanks, and two granddaughters, Mrs. Alfred (Mary Ellen) Jackson and Mrs. Leroy (Thelma) Edwards. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. William Syphrit and Mrs. Elmer Campbell, both of Wapello, and three brothers, George Hamilton, Chicago and William and Geda, both of Wapello.

      Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

    • Wapello (IA), August 25. -- The seventh annual reunion of the Davison and Dotson families was held at Chautauqua park in Mediapolis Saturday, with 118 present.
