      Native of Burlington Succumbs Suddenly
      Funeral Services Wednesday

      Funeral services for Fred H. Martin, a resident of Burlington for sixty-six years, who dropped dead at 7:15 o'clock yesterday morning just after he had arrived at the Drake Hardware company's plant, where he was employed, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence, 868 Iowa street. Services will be in charge of Reverend J. H. Buescher and burial will be in the Aspen Grove cemetery. Services at the cemetery will be private.

      Mr. Martin went to work as usual yesterday morning and had been working only about fifteen minutes when the attack came. A physician was immediatly called, but Mr. Martin was found to be dead when he arrived. Death was due to heart trouble.

      Mr. Martin was a native of Burlington, having been born here on December 31, 1859. In 1893, he was married to Miss Amelia Lantfried. He was employed for sometime in the Schmidt Hardware company and since they went out of business, he had been in the employ of the Drake Hardware company. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.

      Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Augusta Warner and Virginia Martin, both of Burlington. Two brothers, George, of Ambridge, Pennsylvania, and John, of Burlington and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Pretcher of Des Moines, also survive.
