    The Hawk Eye 
    • Lloyd C. Patterson, 77, of Farmington, formerly of the Muscatine, Winfield and Wyman areas, died at 7:22 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 1994, at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      Born September 14, 1916, in Wapello, he was the son of Charley and Nancy Jane Crieger Patterson. On April 13, 1940, he married Ethel V. Partington at Mount Pleasant.

      Mr. Patterson worked at the Iowa Ordnance Plant before his retirement in August 1981. He was a member of the Athens Methodist Church.

      Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Verkruyse and Betty Drummond of Farmington; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel McKnight of Rock Island, Illinois, and Amy Hill of Wilton; nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.

      Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today and until the time of services Saturday at Shaffer & Sons Funeral Home, Kahoka, Missouri.

      The funeral for Mr. Patterson will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Shaffer & Sons Memorial Chapel, Kahoka, Missouri, with t he Reverend Beryl Cragg, officiating. Burial will be in Revere Cemetery, Revere, Missouri. A memorial has been established for the Farmington EMTs.
