Preceding the two-course dinner a Tom Thumb wedding took place, with Doris Hickenbottom as the bride, Floyd Richardson us the groom, Robert Walker as the minister, and Helen Richardson as the ring bearer; Lois McDowell presided at the organ. Miss Courter presented the happy couple with numerous gifts from the guests. The oldest guest present was an uncle of Mrs. Hannah, Henry Lee of Winfield, and the youngest was Jimmie Hickenbottom, Jr., a great grandson.

Those present at this happy celebration were: Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Hannah, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hannah, Mrs. Jennie Pichard (sic), Mrs. Catherine Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. S. Ogg, all of Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Courter, O. E. Courter and son Wayne, Henry Lee and daughter Ruth of Winfield; Miss Ruth Courter of Frenchburg, Kentucky, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Mr. and Mrs. Hannah went to housekeeping near Mt. Pleasant and resided near that place until they moved to Morning Sun about twenty-eight years ago, where they engaged in the grocery business until several months ago when they retired from active business life.

The Hannahs have five daughters, seven grandsons, nine granddaughters and two great grandchildren.
