      David B. Copelin was listed as living in Section 3, New London Township in the 1879 HISTORY OF HENRY COUNTY.

      David and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Roberts, came from Indiana in 1867 and farmed north of New London in Canaan and New London Townships. Their children included Joseph, Edmund, Luella (Mrs. J. W.) Walker, Carrie King, and Dee Taylor.

      Luella Copelin (1866-1940) attended Howe's Academy in Mt. Pleasant and taught school before her marriage to John William Walker (1862-1940). J. W. and Luella Walker's children were Roy and Mabel Walker.

      Edmund G. Copelin (1869-1955) married Lurana Jane (Lou) Little (1872- 1962). They came to New London from Lowell in 1921 and Ed Copelin ran a draying business. Their children were Maude (Mrs. Sumner) Blanck, Mae (Mrs. Jay) Patterson, Kenneth, and Forrest. Sumner and Maude Blanck's son is Gary Blanck.

      Kenneth Copelin married Eleanor Gregg and their children were Leon, Edward who married Jill Becker, "and Kathy. Eleanor's children from a previous marriage were the four Jones children - Margaret Moyers, Robert, Ellen Harris, and Elizabeth (Mrs. Don) Underwood.
