    • The four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. P. Baird, south of town, died Sunday (March 15, 1903) at 11 o'clock of scarlet fever. The funeral services were held Monday and were private on account of the cause of the lad's death. A younger child was also taken sick since with the same disease. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Baird sympathize with them in their affliction.
