- Audrey Maurine Humphrey, 65, of 1952 Ernst Street, Burlington, died Monday, October 9, 1995, at St. Francis Care Center.
Born April 15, 1930, in Wapello, she was the daughter of J. Donald "Skip" and Goldie Staats Pulver. She married Loren W. Humphrey on August 18, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Mrs. Humphrey was a 1948 graduate of Wapello High School, where she lettered in basketball. She worked at the Louisa County Courthouse in Wapello and Sylvania and Champion Spark Plug in Burlington. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Burlington. She enjoyed white water rafting, kayaking, mushrooming and wildflowers.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Leanne Humphrey Cone of Burlington; three sons, Terry A. Humphrey of Taos, New Mexico, and Kevin J. and David D. Humphrey, both of Tyler, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded,in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello.
The funeral for Mrs. Humphrey will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, with the Reverend David Rogula officiating. Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Public Library.
