    • Mrs. Eleanor Stewart, an old and respected resident of Morning Sun, died at her home Tuesday morning, January 11, at 9 o'clock. Mrs. Stewart had been in feeble health for a number of years and death was due to the infirmities of old age.

      Mrs. Stewart was born September 20, 1821, at Huntington county, Pennsylvania, and at the time of her death was 89 years of age. She was married January 22, 1845, to R. H. Stewart and came to Iowa in 1851. Mrs. Stewart has been a consistent member of the Presbyterian church for sixty-eight years.

      She leaves to mourn her death three sons and one daughter, Joseph H. of Monmouth, Illinois, John R., of Morning Sun, William Stewart of Quincy, Illinois, and Miss G. A. Stewart of Morning Sun.

      The funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Presbyterian church, conducted by her pastor, Reverend A. E.Cameron. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery.
