The records seen below were are the actual log entries of the Brumm families (Carl and Daniel) upon their arrival on the ship Heidelberg in New Orleans in December, 1853.

By looking at the following enlargement of the record, it seems that Daniel Brumm (D. Brumm) was probably misread by the transcribers of these pages (as in the last web document with the text listing of the ship's passenger list):
