Although the Johnson family figures prominently in the genealogy of the Brumms via Bertha Lett's mother, Ella Matilda Johnson, Caroline Alberta Johnson, known as Lena, is also the granddaughter of Charles H. Lett who was born in 1819 in Sweden. Lena's mother, Josephine Lett, married Alfred Gustav Johnson of Sweden. Alfred is related to the family of Hannah and Samuel Edmond Johnson, but his exact relationship is not presently known.
Lena was born in 1895 and died in 1947. She married Bud Raymond Jackson of Henderson, Mills County, Iowa on April 14, 1920. Bud was born June 7, 1891 and died May 17, 1961. Both he and she are buried at the Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa.
Lena and Bud had one son, Alfred Jackson. Alfred married Mary Ellen Eubanks, who is a descendant of George Washington Earl Moyers in my own (Dennis Brumm's) maternal family. Alfred and Mary Ellen Jackson had two daughters, Christine S. "Chris" (Alan R.) Sergeant, and Carolyn Alberta (Steven) Fromm.
