Pictures, Memorabilia, Genealogy, Documents, and More

Welcome to these web pages featuring the genealogy of my ancestors and contemporary family members. There are many old and new photographs and other memorabilia which have been provided by many family members as well as from my own archives.

These pages were designed with a computer monitor featuring 800x600 resolution (or greater) in mind.  There is a minimal use of javascript, and extensive use of style sheets. It is probably possible to navigate the site with javascript turned off, but if you don't have style sheets turned on in your browser, pages will not look as they were intended. Additionally some branches of the site will require the Flash 5 plugin.

Many people have been very helpful in the collection of the information which is presented in this database. Some of these people are (I am not intentionally leaving anyone out here):

Researchers and Helpful Family Members

Marjorie Kimble, who has been researching the Walker and related families for a number of years; she has vaults of information on my maternal (her paternal) family in her possession. Other helpful folks in the immediate or direct family line of my own have been Becky Murphy, Kathy Shoup, Carol Kelley, Sandy Pillsbury, Thelma Bearde, Virginia Golliher, Jay Lox, and Gary Walker, Ralph Walker, Marissa Belles, Carol Williams, and Doris Walker.

Help has also come from paternal side relatives Lorma Allen, who sent me copies of what she had learned about the Brumm family, Susan Leland, Denise Brumm, and Dale Brumm, who helped clarify who certain folks were in several pictures from the 1940s. Other researchers on either or both sides who have been helpful include Nona Jones, Bob Kendall, Patrick Pearsey, and Beverly Whitaker. Nona and Bob are descendants of William Nelson Walker. Joleen is a descendant of Nathaniel Fox, Patrick Pearsey is related through Catherine Pearsey, who married Francis S. Walker, and Beverly Whitaker's connection to the family is via Rebecca Walker, Francis Samuel Walker's sister. Siblings Mike and Diane Lyon have been helpful with some of the questions surrounding the family of Everna Walker Frizzell and her descendants. Other researchers who have provided information more recently are Kathy Begey (Moyers family and related branches off Samuel N. Moyers' daughter, Sarah Moyers Larkin), Larry Dowell (also of the Moyers family), Ada Blanchard (related through Mary Brewer and Vashti Walker), Ronna Cunningham (Dean [Deen], Walkers on my paternal family side, Pences and other families from the counties surrounding Lewis, Pendleton, and Randolph West Virginia); Kassie Rice (a lot of information on those same paternal Walkers, the Deens, etc.), David Shelton (also the Deans), Henrietta Johnson (the wife of Bamford Johnson's grandson on my Dad's side of the family), Douglass and Minnie Lett (descendants of John A. Lett, the brother of my great grandfather Walter Lett), Donald Reagan, a descendant of Prudence Walker of Ireland who moved to Pennsylvania with her parents, Charles and Elenor Walker; James Holland, who has a lot of research encompassing many Louisa County and southeast Iowa families, Timothy Dotson, a descendant of George Workman and Lucy Moyers Dotson; Michael Redfern, and Ronda Berry, who are descendants of the Lee and Redfearn families that were early settlers of New London, Iowa. I am no doubt forgetting others.
