"Wayne Wolcek, minister of the ISU Christian Fellowship, said the pamphlet might not depict homosexuals in a totally accurate context,... ISU DAILY, 1974" |
The cartoon characters J.T. Chick drew here have a certain sad flair, don't they, promising anyone who might choose to ignore this "tract" misery and perhaps no tract housing. The pictures really remind me of something written by Charles Dickens mixed up with with a needed dose of Elvira cobwebs for effect. I don't doubt that Mr. J.T. Chick never made it to a gay wedding or even a decent mixed party, because if he did, he would have known that he was misrepresenting gay people, and of course, being a fine upstanding christian, that would be against his religion.
I would invite him to my own next party, but I have none in the works right now. Too bad.
