Mrs. Ira D. Marshall, 72, life-long resident of Des Moines county, died Thursday, November 14, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Burgus, Sperry. Short services were held at Fry funeral chapel at 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by a service at the Sperry Methodist church at 9:30 o'clock. Burial was in Kossuth cemetery.

Abbie Blanche, daughter of James and Sarah Larkin, was born November 20, 1874. She was married to Ira D. Marshall December 24, 1894. He survives as do the following children Mrs. Burgus, Mrs. Hazel Granaman and Ralph Marshall, of Sperry; Burton E. Marshall, of Mt. Pleasant; David Marshall, New London, and Walter and Oliver J. Marshall, of Burlington.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and her aged step-mother, Mrs. Etta Larkin of Kansas City, Missouri and the following brothers and sisters Lee, Guy and Orville Larkin, of Kansas City; Sam Larkin, of Fort Madison; Ray Larkin, of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Nora Cunningham, of Morning Sun.

Blanche married Ira David Marshall, son of Oliver Spencer "Hap" Marshall and Elzena Clark, on December 24, 1894 in Columbus Junction, Louisa County, Iowa.1 (Ira David Marshall was born on October 25, 1872 in Des Moines County, Iowa,1 died on December 27, 1963 in Des Moines County, Iowa 1 and was buried in the Kossuth Cemetery, Yellow Spring Township, Des Moines County, Iowa 1.)
