The inscription on his stone is: "Abrahamson, August F. July 2, 1852 - October 20, 1906" • Research. On the 1900 federal census it certainly looks as if August listed his age at marriage as 19 rather than at age 29, in which case he may have had a wife before Emma. August married Emma Christine Lett, daughter of Charles H. Lett and Caroline Johnson, on March 31, 1881 at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Des Moines County, Iowa.1 (Emma Christine Lett was born on October 22, 1858 in Des Moines County, Iowa,3 5 6 10 died on January 1, 1901 6 11 and was buried in the Kossuth Cemetery, Yellow Spring Township, Des Moines County, Iowa 6.) |
