• Death Announcement: The Morning Sun News-Herald, July 1932, Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa. 6 William F. Broeker, 57, a farmer living south of Morning Sun, in the Sharon neighborhood, was fatally injured when his automobile turned over on Sunnyside avenue in Burlington. Mr. Broeker and son, Orville,15, and daughter, Leora, were en route home from a funeral.
(A later entry:) J. T. Jansen of West Point was arrested by the Des Moines county sheriff, charged with being the driver of the gravel (truck?) which struck the car driven by William Broeker. Mr. Broeker died shortly after from injuries of the accident.
