Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist Church for Mrs. Frank Hamilton who died very suddenly early Tuesday morning following a heart attack. Mrs. Hamilton had not been in ill health and the fatal heart attack at 4:30 Tuesday morning was entirely unexpected. Cora Ellen Moyers, daughter of George and Rebecca Pence Moyers, was born on a farm near Sperry, Iowa, on April 15, 1878 and died at her home in Morning Sun on October 12, 1948 at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 27 days.

On December 14, 1899 she was married to Frank Hamilton. Surviving beside the husband is one daughter, Hazel Eubanks, of Morning Sun, two granddaughters, Mary Ellen Jackson and Thelma Eubanks, and one great granddaughter, Carolyn Alberta Jackson.

The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mary L. Dotson, Burlington; P. A. Moyers, Morning Sun; Burt Moyers, Wapello; and H. R. Moyers of Elk River, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ed Moyers, and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Walker. One sister and two brothers died in infancy.

Cora married Frank Upton Hamilton, son of Alexander Hamilton and Susannah Dotson, on December 14, 1899 at her home in Louisa County, Iowa.1 (Frank Upton Hamilton was born on March 23, 1874 in Louisa County, Iowa,4 16 died between March 1, 1950 and March 22, 1950 4 5 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa 4 17.) The cause of his death was a stroke.

• Newspaper Article/Notice: The Davenport Democrat and Leader, August 25, 1925, Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. 20 Wapello, Ia., Aug. 25. -- The seventh annual reunion of the Davison and Dotson families was held at Chautauqua park in Mediapolis Saturday, with 118 present. The event was featured by a picnic dinner at the noon hour, ice cream and watermelons being served. The afternoon was spent with sports and contests.

During the business session, officers for the coming year were elected as follows: Mrs. George R. Deihl, Wapello, president; I. M. Jamison, Morning Sun, vice president; Mrs. Henry Meyerholz, Wapello, secretary and treasure; committee on grounds and arrangements: W. D. Peters, W. S.
